| HARD PORCELAIN Traditionally designed, 24 K gold-plated fine
porcelain cups and saucers by Kutahya Porcelain, the leading porcelain tableware
manufacturer in Turkey. It was established in 1973 in Kütahya, the city that is world renown for it's ceramics.
The history of the region dates back
to as early as 3rd millennium B.C. when it was called Kotiaion or
Cotyaeum – “the city of the Goddess Kotys”.
In 1071 C.E. the Seljuk Turks conquered the city and in the 14th century it became part
of the Ottoman Empire and emerged as an Ottoman center for ceramic industries.
