HARD PORCELAIN

Traditionally designed gold-plated fine porcelain cups and saucers by Gural Porcelain, the leading porcelain tableware manufacturer in Turkey. It was established in 1973 in Kütahya, the city that is world renown for it's ceramics.

The history of the region dates back to as early as 3rd millennium B.C. when it was called Kotiaion or Cotyaeum – “the city of the Goddess Kotys”. Around 12th century, the region got attached to the Phrygian kingdom and thus became an important city.

In 14th century it became part of the Ottoman Empire and emerged as an Ottoman center for ceramic industries.
